Website
designing

A website should do more than look current. We design and build sites that load quickly, read clearly on every device, and give visitors an obvious reason to get in touch.

Design that earns
its keep

Plenty of businesses have a website they are quietly embarrassed by. It looked fine three years ago, it is slow on a phone, nobody remembers how to edit it, and it produces almost no enquiries. The fix is rarely a fresh coat of paint. It is rebuilding around what the site is actually meant to achieve.

We start with the commercial question rather than the visual one. Who lands here, what are they trying to work out, and what should happen next? Once that is settled, layout decisions become straightforward. Without it, design turns into personal preference and the site ends up beautiful and useless.

Speed is a feature

Page speed affects rankings, but more importantly it decides whether anyone waits around. We build lean templates, compress and correctly size images, defer non-essential scripts, and keep plugin bloat under control. A site that loads in under two seconds on mobile data will outperform a heavier, prettier one almost every time.

Mobile is the default, not an afterthought

Most of your visitors arrive on a phone. We design for that screen first, then expand outward, which produces cleaner hierarchy and fewer awkward compromises than shrinking a desktop layout down and hoping it holds together.

Built so search engines can read it

A redesign is the cheapest moment to get technical SEO right, and the most expensive moment to get it wrong. We handle heading structure, semantic markup, clean URLs, schema, and redirect mapping from old pages so hard won rankings survive the move. Sites that lose traffic after a relaunch almost always skipped this step.

Designed to convert

Calls to action sit where people are ready to act. Forms ask only for what you genuinely need. Proof, whether that is testimonials, case detail or credentials, appears at the moments people are deciding whether to trust you. Structural choices like these usually move enquiry numbers further than a visual refresh does.

Yours to run afterwards

We build on WordPress with editing in mind, so your team can update content without needing a developer or breaking the layout. You get a handover walkthrough and documentation. No hostage situations, no calling us to change a phone number.

The result is a site that reflects the business accurately, holds up under traffic, and quietly does its job in the background instead of needing constant rescue.

Questions

Answers before you
have to ask

A focused brochure site usually takes four to six weeks. Larger builds with custom functionality or heavy content migration run eight to twelve. In practice the timeline depends more on how quickly content and feedback arrive than on development itself.

They will if the migration is handled properly. We map every old URL to its new destination, preserve the page structure that earns traffic, and monitor closely after launch. Traffic losses following a relaunch are almost always down to skipped redirects.

In most cases, yes. It keeps you in control of your own content, has a mature ecosystem, and avoids locking you into a platform you cannot leave later. If a project genuinely suits something else, we will say so rather than force it.

That is the intention. We build with editable content areas and hand over documentation plus a walkthrough, so routine updates never require a developer or risk breaking the layout.

We can advise on hosting and set it up alongside you, and we offer ongoing maintenance covering updates, backups, security monitoring and small changes. It is optional, not a condition of the build.

Clarity on goals, any brand assets you already have, and a point of contact who can approve decisions. If the content is not written yet, we can help plan and produce it.
